Illustration & 3D - Breath of the Wild (+ Process)
Process of the Matte painting made with 3dsMax and Photoshop. Made for a university assignment for the 3D illumination and matte painting class.
The first slide, as you can see is the final art.
The second slide shows a render of the guardian and the master sword. Before that I did a sketch on paper of the scene of the battle and I took the objects to 3dsMax to play with the lights.
The third slide shows a screenshot I did of the Hyrule fields in The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild in my Nintendo Switch.
The fourth slide shows the first rough sketch of the positions and placing of the objects and characters in the scene.
The fifth slide shows the final art of link based the original artwork, adapted.
The 3D model of the guardian was made by the user NinKorr3D in Sketchfab.
The original pose/ drawing reference is the art featured in the cover of The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild Explorer's Guide.
